Welcome to the
Middle River Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.

In 1943 a fire station was built in the community of Wilson Point on Cypress Drive about the size of a modern day garage housing one fire engine. The station was originally called Wilson Point Volunteer Fire Department.
Four years later in 1947, a new station was built one block away and was re-named Middle River Volunteer Fire Company.

This is the station we respond out of today. With a few modifications to the building we are able to staff two engines, one ladder truck, one brush truck, and one utility/medical support unit. Because of the modifications we now have a larger recreation room ( use to be a kitchen) and a bunkroom ( use to be the recreation room) that will sleep 9 firefighters.
Today we have 4 Administrative officers, 9 Suppression officers, 40 active Firefighters and a few associate members, and we continue to grow. Recognized by the county as Station 22, we are just 1 of 33 other Volunteer Companies in Baltimore County operating as a non-profit 100 % volunteer organization. All firefighters and officers respond to numerous calls 24 hours a day either by being at the station or by pager. We also provide Fire Prevention Awareness to the community.
