On July 17, 2010, ABRAHAM ELLIS "DOC" GLASER, BELOVED HUSBAND OF HANNAH B. GLASER (NEE BILLER) PASSED AWAY.
SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE SOL LEVISON & BROS, INC. 8900 REISTERSTOWN ROAD ON THURSDAY, JULY 22 AT 2 PM. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, CONTRIBUTIONS IN HIS MEMORY MAY BE SENT TO BETH TFILOH CONGREATION, 3300 OLD COURT ROAD, BALTIMORE, MARYLAND 21208. IN MOURNING AT 201 OLD CROSSING DRIVE, BALTIMORE, MD 21208.
Mr. Abraham "Doc" Glaser was a Life Member of the Middle River Volunteer Fire Company. Doc was a early member and supporter of the Fire Company from its inception in the mid 1940's until his retirement in the mid 70's. He owned and operated the pharmacy in the Wilson Point Shopping Center for many, many years and provided employment for numerous young residents of Wilson Point.
Prior to the inception of the Baltimore County Central Dispatch in the late 50's Doc Glaser would answer telephone calls from the public for emergencies either in the Pharmacy or his apartment and then activate the Fire Company house siren. He would then run to the FireHouse to man the equipment!
Thanks "Doc" for your many years of service to the community. May you rest in Peace!!

The Middle River Vol Fire Company welcomes you to its website. We are 100% volunteer and provide fire suppression and EMS first responder service to the Middle River region of eastern Baltimore County, Maryland. Our 40+ dedicated members operate two engines, a 105 Foot aerial ladder truck which has auto extrication tools (Holmatro-dual core) onboard and several support vehicles out of one station.We hope you enjoy learning more about what we do in the community. On July 3rd, 2010, The Middle River Vol Fire Company lead the 4th of July parade thru the Wilson Point Rd Community. The parade went down Wilson Point Rd, made a right onto Dogwood, left on Shore Rd, then another left onto Wilson Point Rd back to the fire hall where there was refreshments and activites inside the fire hall. The parade had equipment from the Middle River Vol Ambulance and Rescue Company (Sta 52), delegates, bands, floats, bikes, four wheelers. Many thanks to the Baltimore County Police Dept for assisting us with traffic control.
